As most couples who are a planning a same-sex wedding probably know, it’s frustrating, nerve-racking, and sometimes just annoying to have to explain to vendors, “No, we don’t want to book two weddings on the same day… No, we’re not sisters… We’re marrying each other!” So, we decided that before we met with anyone else, we’d email or say flat out, “When you meet us, we’ll both be women.” Well when I emailed Alan from Alan Abrams Photography, I never expected to get back an almost 2 page response about how honored he would be to do our engagement shoot. My fiancée and I were touched and thrilled to read words that we believe all people should feel: love is love, regardless. When the photos were ready, we made a stunning realization: Alan had captured in print what lies at the heart of our relationship… laughter. Those shot of unplanned fits of laughter and looks of love will always be our favorites.- Jenna & Christina
